From here to eternity, I have decided what kind of d I'm going to be
Adventure! Everything will be an adventure m! Everything! Everything! Everything! Let's get this fun party started!

The proper genre for Dimensions
Location of Studio Announced
The location of my studio and centre of operations will be : Douceyland!
May this decision bring luck & good fortune.

2012 Animation and Film Split
Yes, this is also important: The Ani-Musico-Historics, The Ani-Fantasies, The 2 Filmy-Scifi-series, and The Filmy-Bardies. Sorry you know who. You still remain a country above the rest, when it comes to class.

Flashbacks
Flashbacks, near the beginning of a story, where a character is shown to be younger, can be a very good device.
The Canadian Archetype
This character will represent that country. Think father of J. DSS. His frontier life. Small dwelling. Individual against....... well you know how it is. Transplant that on the future setting, and presto! You have an archetype.
Effective Image good for In the Dimensional Space
An effective Image surely is this: A house on a river that flows down continually to new lands. This in fact is the allied humaine HQ. An interesting visual experience: to be inside, outside it, and to see where it goes.

Effective Villain Characters
A note on effective villain characters: A true-to-life trait is to have them have some kind of previous injury, for example: a war injury, serious enough to distinctly impede their enjoyment of life. This is a good bkd pour ce type de personnage.

The cultural identity and hidden magic real place of this Earth
Also, I want to display the rich cultural and location riches of this world. By going there, by talking to characters who represent these cultures. Let's get started!!!
Here's the deal Boyo
Okay Great. So you got your creative Trilogy. We must fill in number 2. To do this our template will be clear. Remington Steel. Every JB film with this actor. His gentlemanly demeanor, fashion, and understated presence of style are what this show will be all about. Take it way, young man!

So good
A film set here about a girl who comes to terms with grief. One person, then another, then another se le. She tries to make sense of this past my trying to get in touch with ghosts. She can't and is frustrated. In the last scene she is at the ocean and finally the ghosts reappear on the ocean, beach waterfront in a hugely emotional denouement.

The dark blue sky as a backdrop to a rocket launch.

HFX HISTORY FILM
If you could match the look and feel, including the musical feel, of CHANGELING in a HFX film set at the same time, it would be a _Hit_.

6 times means this is a good idea
Respirologist Respirologist Respirologist Respirologist Respirologist Respirologist!
4th
Yes love, the sweetest of all emotions. To mak films in this style would be good. And so I begin with the idea of one set between two people who off and on try to be a couple somehow or another, and the comic gist shest decet let.
Actor Types
Saw the Cabaret last night. Probably there will always be differences in different people. Yet, it does seem clear that it is possible to group actors into types. I saw a definite James Bond type, a definite Javère type yesterday. Also, a definite 1950s well-built female type, the kind that could be a stage singer. Also saw the Dragoon Tattoo Type.

This F would be G!
Pheidippides, the first M R. This, done in 300, slightly more realist style, would be A.

Jean Renoir - La Bête Humaine
One of the things this film does very well is show a society. It represents, obviously like Les Rougons-Marquarts, a time machine of different people and aspects of a certain society. Now this is fascinating for the viewer. I think the reason that is so, is that viewers, all of them are naturally intelligent. When we go outside, we never just see one person walking around, or a pair. Rather, life is a complex counterpoint of varied streams, different people doing different things. These people however are not random streams, random motion, they have a certain character, and the tapestry woven by this varied interchange, represented with realism and fascinating detail, what makes this film great. Some of the things characters say are fairly unimportant in the grand scheme of a daily life, but that they are represented authentically, one after another, makes it come alive with a tremendous vitality.
DEFINITIVE DECISION ON MY GENRES
OKAY Here they are:
1 Sci-Fi Shakespeare (Also could be any play adapted in an interesting way)
2 Musically Engrossed Animation (Think Miyazake - Menken)
I WILT NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE

Good start to a movie
So two friends experience a life moment, out in society, where one is shocked about something someone says to them, such as: 'Where's Europe?' from a Postal Clerk. The point here is that they have a question they want to seek out. This leads them to put in the question into a search engine which is like an experience of asking a ___ something. They find the answers, which leads to something more mystical.
Good Sci-Fi is Good Psychology
I want to say that in making a good ADO show, essentially what I would admire and like to make is a show that does two things very well in a future setting: PSYCHOLOGY and ADVENTURE. As in what it is like to be in these future situations, and also simply to witness these future situations and feel the story unfold.
Star Trek, that successful show
You know it is clear that the genre of Star Trek (the one I grew up with) is Adventure. It is a darn good one. I would say that SCI-FI is not a story genre. I assert you can make and genre set in a time and place in the future.
Why filming in North America is bad
This is a major tip. We as a society recreate ourselves from ideas we like. IS THERE ANY DOUBT OUR SOCIETY LIKES MOVIES? Obviously not. North America is 90% built since the invention of cinema. THEREFORE, we can logically and correctly conclude that the buildings we have made reflect theatres. Our buildings and street blocks are rectangular and square. The ones in Europe go every which way. Therefore I can conclude that it is mostly a waste of time to film in North America. It is in a manner of speaking like sneaking into a theatre and filming the screen. It is like filming a movie that has been already made.
A note on frames
Clearly, the size of a frame matter to a film. So, if you take early movies often they are the shape of a TV. Yet still, when you take something like today's films, it is unheard of not to use a wide screen. There is something lost with so much screen being filled. So, a solution is rather than going back to the antiquated format, rather, do visual things that make much of the time the screen seem smaller, that is, use effective use of shade to make a screen that subtly becomes smaller.

Somethings Coming... ooooh
You know, I think a totally effective film genre is what I can describe as 'Something's Coming'. Start with a setting and a growing ominous uncertain threat. Make it big, make it epic, then make several characters figuring out how to deal and survive with this new threat, eventually, despite all odds, overcoming. I have got to say that Spielberg seems to rely on this genre lots and lots. War of The Worlds, Close Encounters, ET, Indy 1, 2, 3, 4, Schindler's List, and Minority Report. Wait a second. *All* of his movies fit into this genre! This is clearly something to remember. In fact, I will assert at this moment that all of my œuvre from here out will use this genre, although they of course will adhere to the demands of each sub genre. Yet it will be in the background, as present and reliable as.... a Hawaiian screen saver (shiver, gasp, oh my!)
Engagement
My recurring SF/F/W series would be called this. It would be the following stories of many young people, connected somehow, who try to make money in this new world. Singer, coffee magnate, seismologist, soldier, fashionista. Let it play, let it play. Style and substance, S-effects=success.
Good Idea for first AM
Subject for first full-length AM: About character who the world negates them by saying 'CD'. In sure order, by the end, he / she can AND HOW! They eventually cause a *D Wave of Enthusiasm*!
Cool Idea for MUSICAL ANIMATION
For fantastic music-rich scenes in MUSICAL ANIMATION, modelling a scene wide-screen off of the Dark Blue dance wedding photo of S and I where I twirl her, is very good. In other words, have a duplicated version of the 2 main characters in a given scene doing other things, SO Basically you are looking at two things at once of the same people, EACH ONE SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT over a neutral constant bkd, this would work well to captivate attention. ++
Robert Bresson use of camera
I have now witnessed two of Bresson's films. They are both too negative and boring to be popularly successful. However, I must say I very much admire his use of camera. Basically, it never moves, except for small movements. This is great in my view, because it leaves room for the decor, and the actors, to take the forefront in the audiences minds and imaginations. Otherwise it is like the camera is an actor, thus giving a lot of acting space and time to a machine, which compromises meaningful artistic effect and expressiveness. I would say, based on first impressions, that the only kind of shots I would add to my film technique would be very long lasting shots which kind of go on for a very long time which certainly can move; shots involving scenery where pass-throughs are wholly acceptable; long very slow zooms/dollies à la Judi Dench's speech in Henry V; and shots that are literally fixed to the floor of something moving, such as a boat or a car. To not be limiting in my range, I would permit any old camera technique for Animation. Explanation? Well since it is not real in the first place, adding character to the camera is okay, because in making such an artificial world come to life, one will need all the life and characters you can muster. Probably part of why music for animation is full of 'Mickey Mousing' mimicking real movement, because it is probably a frequent struggle to make animation seem ALIVE.
First Movie Title
Hi Ladies and Gentleme/an,
I have decided upon a title for my first full length film: Colony. It will be in my category of films I plan on making called: Metaphysical altered-reality dream exploration.
To quote the illustrious youthful sage of our time, Keanu Reeves: Woah!

Too Much Negativity
What keeps me from being enthusiastic about this book is that it doesn't spend enough time pointing out what is good in the world. Despite its flaws, there is good stuff too, you know?
Dysfunctional Baguette
This book puts me in the shoes of a dysfunctional Parisian host family. What could be more fun?Actually a lot of things. :)
Chipping Away at my French Flavoured Ice Berg, and Let the Fun Start
Well this is the first of many posts. My goal is to have here an outlet for my creative process. Creativity is unlike anything else, in that it challenges the mind, the spirit, and the inner army general, if you want to have solid results. So my short term goal is to get done the ton of reading that I have before me for French Literature.
